Welcome to Tribe

What began as a single studio in Edinburgh’s New Town in 2015 has grown into a vibrant, multi-location community.

Our ethos is built on the idea that when people come together to move, grow, and support one another, incredible things happen.

Welcome to Tribe

At Tribe Yoga, we believe in the power of connection. Our ethos is built on the idea that when people come together to move, grow, and support one another, incredible things happen.

Our Ethos

Our approach is simple yet impactful: prioritise community, champion personal growth, and treat everyone, clients and staff alike, with fairness and respect. This is the essence of the “Tribe Vibe,” a unique energy that makes our studios more than just spaces for fitness, they’re spaces for belonging.
Our mantra, displayed proudly in our studios, guides everything we do:

“I am who I am because of who you are. We are connected. We are part of the tribe, both striving to learn and grow and seeking strength of mind, body, and soul. The tribe aims to support what you do and seeks to embrace who you are. When you are the best you can be, we are the best we can be. You are the tribe. We are the tribe.”

This mantra reflects our commitment to fostering a community where individual and collective growth go hand in hand.

What Makes Tribe Unique

We aim to break down barriers to fitness by offering accessible classes and creating spaces where everyone feels valued and included.

Unlike many others in the boutique fitness industry, Tribe is proud to invest in its people. Our teachers have the option to be employed, allowing them to focus on what they love: teaching. We also provide opportunities for professional development and progression, ensuring that they thrive both personally and professionally. We believe that when our teachers thrive, our members thrive, and in turn, the community thrives.

Our classes include yoga, Pilates, barre, and rhythm-based cycle classes, as well as Reformer Pilates. Each one is designed to challenge and inspire, with options for all levels. Beyond the physical benefits, Tribe is a place where mental wellbeing, mindfulness, and personal growth are just as important.

2015 - Present The Tribe Journey

Where We Began

What began as a single studio in Edinburgh’s New Town in 2015 has grown into a vibrant, multi-location community. Tribe Yoga now operates five studios across Edinburgh; New Town, Quartermile, Leith Walk, Stockbridge, and Fountainbridge plus two locations in London in Liverpool Street and Waterloo.

Where We Are

Over the years, we’ve continually evolved. In 2017, we expanded with new locations in Quartermile and Leith Walk, where we introduced Tribe Cycle, a rhythm-based indoor cycling concept.

In 2024, we launched Tribe Reformer at Leith Walk, making Reformer Pilates a core part of our offering and expanding to New Town in 2025.

Where We are Going

After the successful launch in January 2025 of Tribe City, we launched our second London studio, Tribe Waterloo in September. We didn’t stop there! Our newest edition to Edinburgh in 2026 is our very first Reformer-only studio, Tribe Fountainbridge.

Our Vision

At Tribe, we aim to do more than offer fitness classes. We want to create a movement, a community where every individual feels supported on their journey of growth, wellbeing, and connection. Whether you’re joining us in Edinburgh, London, or wherever our journey takes us next, we invite you to be part of the tribe. Together, we can create something truly special.

Work With Us

We’re always looking for the right people to join our team! If you’re passionate about Pilates and the Reformer method, we’d love to hear from you. Please reach out to Vanessa at  vc@tribe.yoga with an introduction about yourself, your teaching style, details of your experience. Including a short video (approximately 10 minutes) of you teaching is also recommended.
