Yoga Teacher Training with Tribe Yoga

Fast-track your learning with this full time, one month intensive programme. Facilitated by the leaders and management of Tribe Yoga, you’ll learn from our experienced team whom many in our Tribe have come to know and appreciate. The programme is not just for aspiring teachers, but for anyone wanting to deepen their personal practice and gain a deeper understanding of yoga and its origins – see your knowledge and practice soar! Dive into anatomy, yoga philosophy, powerful sequencing, inspirational theming and hands-on assisting. Aspiring yoga teachers will graduate ready to join the Tribe Yoga apprenticeship an option which allows students to pair with one of our senior teachers for 5 days of teacher shadowing and mentorship. Upon completion, gain access to ongoing training and support through teachers practices, an apprenticeship and eligibility to attend the soon to be announced 500hr programme to advance your yoga study. Tribe Yoga & Tribe Academy is dedicated to delivering a transformational and comprehensive program, empowering you to live with courage and passion.

The Tribe Yoga Teacher Training by Tribe Academy will be taught on location at Tribe Yoga Leith Walk.

How Much?

The teacher training will cost £1,750 and includes a 2 week optional in studio apprenticeship training, 3 months of membership to all Tribe Yoga’s studios and a 3 day retreat accommodation & food.


The training will commence on November 5th 2018 and last for 4 weeks, ending on December 1st. Monday – Friday 6:30am – 5pm, Saturdays 12 – 5

200-Hour Curriculum


  • Daily Yoga practice
  • A deep exploration of the teaching techniques of the beginner and intermediate level asanas
  • Fundamentals of Posture
  • Introduction to Sanskrit names
  • Introduction to Basic Pranayama (breathing techniques)
  • Introduction to Meditation Techniques and Application


  • Class structure and pose sequencing
  • Discussion on teaching and instruction styles
  • Building your studentship (Finding Your Teaching Voice)
  • Practice of hands on adjustments and verbal instruction skills
  • Introduction to the Business of Yoga
  • Introduction to the Psychology of Yoga and Yoga Teaching


  • Introduction to Structural Anatomy
  • Key Muscle Groups and Fascial Meridians
  • Understanding how to modify for common injuries
  • Energetic Anatomy: Bandhas, nadis, chakras, koshas and vayus
  • All taught in the context of how it is relevant to your yoga practice and teaching


  • Introduction to the history of Yoga
  • Study and discussion of The Yoga Sutras and the 8-limbed path, The Yoga Pradipika and the Bhagavad Gita
  • Teaching ethics


  • Practice teaching
  • Giving and receiving feedback
