Carrie graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2004, completing GP training and gaining further qualifications in child health, women’s and sexual health before going on to complete Sports and Exercise Medicine training. With over 11 years of experience in high performance sport Carrie has worked in a variety of sports settings including professional football, rugby, hockey and aquatics. She has a depth of experience of working with athletes throughout Scotland and has developed special interests in mental health in sport, female athlete issues, anti doping and yoga sports medicine. As a retired hockey player and trained yoga teacher Carrie uses her knowledge professional and personal experiences of sport to guide her medical teaching.
