Tribe Online | Beginners Classes

These classes are all about going back to basics, which is perfect for anyone new to yoga and looking for an easy to follow introduction to their practice. However, these are not only for beginners, as they are for anyone looking to revisit some core postures and brush up on the correct alignment to build a base for a stronger overall practice. We will go through a series of short 15-20 minute videos which will guide you through learning the Sun Salutations, Standing Poses, Seated Poses, Breath Work and then we will end this series by bringing together what we have learned in one final class.

VIDEO 6

Welcome to this 1 hour front body Yin yoga class with Tessa Tweedie. This Yin yoga sequence is designed to address what myofascial release proponents term the deep front line of the myofascial body. This includes, among other things, the psoas, quadratus lumborum, and respiratory diaphragm. The deep front line is the fascial web that proponents associate with core stability—a crucial component of maintaining healthy posture and breathing patterns.

VIDEO 7

Welcome to this 1 hour Yin yoga class with Tessa Tweedie, focused on the back body. This practice is designed to promote grounding and resilience to stress, increase energy and vitality, and replenish stores of patience. It takes about an hour, and you’ll need a couple of blocks and one pillow or bolsters, as well as a blanket for shavasana, if you’d like.
